Church Relationships

 

Mission Partnerships

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of The Gambia is in Companionship with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (the ELCA). The ELCA in companionship supports church planting and leadership training, community development in areas of children education, women and youth empowerment in church and community.

 

Ecumenical Relationships

The ELCTG is a member of the Gambian Christian Council, the Joint Christian Ministry for Fulani in West Africa and the All African theological Education by Extension. The Church has also applied to be a member of the Lutheran Communion of Central and Western Africa (LUCCWA). At the continental level, our church leadership will seek the church to be part of the all African Conference of Churches (AACC).
